In order to give the public the opportunity to meet key personalities from the world of
international architecture, the Fondation pour l’Architecture organises lectures, debates and
colloquiums, in the context of its exhibitions, as well as courses devoted to specific themes, such
as: The city in stories, Art and Architecture, Man and Material, among others.
In this context, the Fondation has welcomed, many artists and intellectuals from a broad spectrum
of the arts who are regularly invited or involved in its work: Ron Arad, Mario Botta, Jean-François
Chevrier, Nigel Coates, Norman Foster, Kenneth Frampton, Amos Gitaï, Zaha Hadid, Rem
Koolhaas, Ezio Manzini, Michel Onfray, François Schuiten, Alvaro Siza, Charles Vandenhove, etc.

Does architecture have a gender? What is a woman architect? What is her relationship to the city and the landscape? Are the projects entrusted to women architects gender-influenced?
While 40% of architecture graduates in Europe are women, few of them run their own agency.
This round table with eight women architects aims to generate reflection on the role of women in the world of architecture and to question preconceived ideas.
