" Greetings from Valenciennes "

Approximately 20 years ago, the city of Valenciennes, under the impulse of its mayor Jean-Louis Borloo, current Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, launched a voluntarist politic of cultural and urban reconquest, which honoured the city to be named “Regional Capital of Culture 2007” by the Regional Council Nord - Pas de Calais.

To celebrate this event, the Fondation pour l'Architecture in Brussels sent postcards to personalities of all over the world in order to be returned to Doctor Dominique Riquet, current mayor of Valenciennes.

The exhibition presents about 50 postcards with personal comments in the Valenciennes’ city Town Hall.
